A 10K and a Dinner Party
I did it!
My first 10K went pretty well, I think. I finished about 3 minutes faster than the last time I did 6 miles, and this was actually 6.2, so I feel pretty good about that. I still have a long way to go, but it was a great race. The route was very hilly, which made things more challenging, but the weather was perfect.
I crossed the finish line, then found my friends and we chatted and took pictures (naturally), then headed to the Whole Foods trail mix station. I was particularly excited for that.
After the race, we headed back to WV again for our friend's housewarming party, which was a blast. We made an absurd amount of Italian food, talked about everything you can think of, drank lots of red wine and coffee, and enjoyed being together in our friend's new home. I think every new home needs a good dinner party to christen it and start the memory-making, and I think this home will be filled with many good times. Congratulations, Chris!
